Happy Monday to you dear readers! It’s been a busy week but quite fruitful! Aside from my food business, I was lucky to have been invited for a campaign launch last Friday at Lolo Dad’s Brasserie 6750 Makati.
I was invited by Strategic Edge, Incorporated for the Well-Fed, Well-Nourished Campaign Launch by PFI (Pet Food Institute) and VPAP (Veterinary Practitioners Association of the Philippines).
The discussion was basically about an awareness program to promote responsible pet ownership .
Also PFI the trade and marketing representative of US pet food brands and VPAP, the country’s experts in animal healthcare, will be signing a memorandum of cooperation in an effort to educate pet owners on proper pet care and increase their appreciation for pet diet and nutrition as well as proactive disease-prevention for pets.
My family owns 3 dogs and 2 cats, but I am more of a cat lover. In the Philippines, dog owners are more prevalent than cat owners. Which is why there are limited cat supplies in the market.
Ms. Jinny giving a discussion on proper pet care.
Dr. VJ Cruz
- giving an insightful talk on why premium cat food is vital for a cat’s health.
Statistics say that most pet owners continue to use leftover human food as it is more economical and avoids wastage. I could probably discuss on a different blog post about my thoughts about the campaign launch.
President Ms. Gabby J. Paz
And now signing the memorandum
Together with the committee
The committee’s objective are to inform and educate pet owners in the Philippines on the economic and nutritional benefits on high quality, commercially prepared pet foods and the importance of veterinary health care.
Other people who attended the event were media people, representative of Hills, Royal Canin and Nestle’.
Royal Canin representatives
Attendees were given hard copies of documents about the event.
And some freebies too – Royal Canin tote bag, cat food and pet treats
I’m guessing this is some kind of treats.
The people there were very warm, special mention to Ms. Jinny for the accommodation and to Camilla.
Attendees were also well fed, you can check it out in my other food and travel blog.
So may I make a poll in this post? Who are cat lovers and cat owners here? Would love to know you all~
