My wish list

I’m done with school and glad to have graduated and got my bachelors degree, Business Administration major in Entrepreneurship and this is just the first step in building my career. Of course for some people like me who would like to take a vacation after finishing school, I’ve decided to take a week off and enjoy being a bum, haha. But in my need to invest on the things that I love, like make-up I need to get a job and hopefully be hired. But I am hoping that mom would help me land a job with her contacts from work. After holy week, I’d get my ass off and start applying already, time is of the essence and I can’t afford to waste precious time.

But this isn’t about my search for a job really but a wish list of Make-up’s that I’d like to have (buy or receive wink wink at BF, hehe).

1. Nars Orgasm blush

nars-blush-orgasm  I think every girl either has this already or wants this, and I’m so one of them, I’ve read this in beauty magazines and reviews, it’s the price that’s stopping me (For the moment) to buy it. Too pricey, ouch! It costs around more than a thousand pesos.

2. Skin Hour Mattifying Day cream

                        photos courtesy of http://iambourgeois.com/

I was really happy to have encountered this review at  http://iambourgeois.com/ I have a bad case of oily skin (face), and I really need a good mattifying cream for day use,

3. Suesh 10pc. brush set

Now this is a MUST have for me, since I’m planning on buying mineral make-up and expanding my make-up kit. This set costs around P1,800 you can order this one at Suesh’s online store

4. Charm Kabuki brush

charm-retractable-kabuki-brush                       photo courtesy from http://iambourgeois.com/

I’ve seen a lot of beauty bloggers that they have this cute kabuki brush and their reviews about it left me wanting to buy it N-O-W, first reason? because it’s pink, lol! This brush costs around P500

5. ELLANA – Intensive coverage mineral foundation and Oil absorbing mineral finishing powder P280 6gms.

Can be bought at MakeupLoft’s multiply site

For now, this would be my list because If I do post a complete wishlist would be a 5 page blog, haha.

Mestiza herbal soap

One of the seasons that I don’t like is the dry season or so called summer, I’m the type of person who doesn’t like to be under the sun and If I could avoid it I would haha. The good thing about it is that, it makes me sweat easily which means I loose some fats in my body, which is good. I’m seriously doing my best to loose the extra bulge, but that doesn’t mean I will deprive myself of eating foods that I love, but this time in moderation and less chips, lol! And so my quest for a good soap begins, one of my problems is that I hate the amoy pawis smell, It’s not like that I smell bad or something, but let’s face it, when it’s too hot there would be a scent somehow and that’s what I don’t like. I’ve encountered an article years back about MESTIZA herbal soap, written by the women of Cojuanco family, China, Mikey and the mom and someone was asking about a whitening soap. They advised MESTIZA herbal soap for her and read good things about the soap, I also tried it myself.

Image0826             I live near Shopwise Makati and right now they are having a sale

Image0827

More details about the soap:

Mestiza complete herbal soap, More than just a skin whitening soap –

contents:

Papaya extract: Provides skin whitening and moisturizing treatment

Carrot extract: Contains Vitamin A which reduces wrinkles and fine lines.

Banana extract: Smoothens out various skin problems

Virgin coconut oil: Effective in removing molds, bacteria, and virus on skin

Calamansi extract: Contains Vitamin C, valued for its skin toning properties

Also contains: Linseed oil, Sodium silicate, Lactic acid, Caustic soda water, preservatives, natural essence, EDTA, Moisturizers

USES:

For pimples, black spots, stains on skin, sunburn, blisters, acne allergies, hemorrhoids, bad odor, psoriasis, baldness, etc.

DIRECTIONS:

Apply soap on skin and allow to stay for at least awhile before rinsing

In my experience, some of my dark spots in problem areas did lighten and my most favorite effect is that even if I perspire a bit, no smell! I let it stay for at least a minute or 2 then rinse it off. As for the lightening results, I do not rely much, although I also use after bath lightening lotion to maintain a fair complexion and keep moisturized.

Mestiza can be bought at Mercury drug stores and Shopwise Makati. Before they only sell it at Mercury, so good thing they are distributing it also to supermarkets.

Cost: P40.25 (very cheap and effective for me)

My verdict: 4.5/5 kikay points (points go to reducing amoy pawis)

Will I repurchase? YES!

*A little note from author

This review is based  on my own experience and results may vary depending on reaction of other people’s skin, use at your own discretion.

What’s inside my make-up bag + my 2 cats

I find it interesting what’s inside a girls make-up bag, and so I’ve decided to share what’s inside mine.

My first make-up bag was this, I arbored my mom’s Lancome bag

Image0099

Then from this, given by BF last Christmas

Image0716

And recently, this is what I’m using since my make-up’s can’t fit in my previous make-up bags

Image0815

Here’s what’s inside:

Image0816

Consists of: 2 Avon True Luminous foundation powder, Maybelline’s Foundation powder, Shu Uemura foundation powder, 2 Avon True color blush (different shades), Fanny Serrano’s Silky coral, Maybelline’s Great lash mascara and Volum Express Cat eyes mascara, Nichido powder blush, Shu Uemura eye lash curler, ELF concealer and high lighter, ELF eyebrow kit, Herbench’s cheek stain pretty when pinched, Maybelline’s Angel Fit foundation (liquid and powder), Gatsby blotting film

Image0818

This bag contains all my lipsticks, lip glosses and a few brushes

And while taking pictures of these in my camera phone here is my kitty cat, Tabby, who is always beside every time I am in my table surfing the net or making my blogs. I love my cats so much.

Image0817

And this is Piccolo, my other love, although Tabby is more sweeter than him.

Image0814

So this wraps up on what’s inside my make-up bag, What’s inside yours? I would love to know :)

Till next time!

ELF Studio

Make-up talk time, I was able to buy new make-up from E.L.F Studio, was with BF at SM Makati where we bought my stuff. And I was like a kid in the candy store, BF said: sige hun, just enjoy! And I did! Well, I had limited budget so I opted to check out ELF’s new product ELF Studio, for the longest time It was just now that I was able to buy a eyebrow kit, I learned about this through Michelle Phan’s video and got interested.

Image0550

Image0553

                                                P249.00

Besides the eyebrow kit, I also bought an SPF15 lip gloss also from ELF and an eye concealer & high lighter

Image0556

                                               P128

Image0549                                                P249

I was able to try this and I find the high lighter has a very subtle effect on it.

Also other stuff I bought:

Image0558

Image0548

The slippers comes free when you buy 4 products from them

I’m still experimenting on how to do perfect eyebrows, although as Michelle Phan said, your eyebrows should look like sisters not twins.

For the lip gloss, it has a watermelon scent which I like and the color is perfect too.

The Lola make-up has caught my eye, wasn’t able to take a picture of their store but I like their packaging but gives the impression that it’s expensive, something I’d definitely save for. It’s funny that the Twilight movie has their own make-up line too, next time I’ll take more pictures. Well, that’s my make-up haul for the week.

Till next time!

Graduation day + Saisaki

YES I made it! Going up on stage and receiving that diploma really gives me the chills and I did walk up on stage all proud and wore a big smile on  my face. My mom and BF was there with me, was happy that they were both there to share my victory. Although, I really didn’t like my make-up at all, I looked old and my hair was flat, If I knew it would be like that, I should’ve done my own make up. Oh well! So, after the event BF and I celebrated, mom gave me extra graduation gift (money). It has been so long since we ate at Saisaki and BF decided to treat me out at an all you can eat Japanese smorgasbord. yuuummm!
Image0793Just finished having make up done, next time I’ll tell how I want it to look like or just do my own. :(

With classmates at PICC, March 27,2010

Saisaki-1
Good thing BF reserved 2 seats in advanced! Thanks sweetie, we didn’t have to wait that long.
Saisaki-2                                             Our table
Gc
For graduates you get a free toy and a free drink, YEY! BF’s mom gave me a 1 thousand worth gift check as a gift, thanks Tita!
Saisaki-4
My first plate – Maki’s, salmon, tuna tartar, tuna sashimi and kimchi
Saisaki-5
My 2nd plate, tuna sashimi, salmon, crabstick tempura, maki and fried furai, which is now my favorite.
Saisaki 7 Both our 3rd plate, mine was the Gyoza and Shrimp tempura, BF’s leftover was the Maki’s. We couldn’t finish it anymore and was at our limits already.
Saisaki 8
                                                                   BF and Me
Our 2nd experience at Saisaki was truly memorable, he did keep his promise and made my graduation celebration special. Not just by eating out but also spending quality time and make-up shopping.
What we noticed at the Japanese section was, the food really goes out fast, specially the maki’s and tempura. So choices we’re quite limited but it was okay, it tasted good and the sashimi’s tasted fresh too. Our overall total bill was P1,330, no service charge and no left over charge which was surprising, because from what we know, left over food is not allowed and if there is there will be additional charges. We just paid for our food, Saisaki P590 and Ultimate buffet P690. Not that bad really, and I’m beginning to crave for more furai and more sashimi’s haha. Well, since school is over, I’d definitely start getting in to shape, seriously. We prefer the ambiance at Glorietta over than the one in MegaMall.
My Verdict: 3.5/5 spoons
It seems there are A-LOT! of Japanese enthusiasts, they should provide more choices or maybe more man power to do the job.
Will I eat there again? Definitely! but not anytime soon, haha.

Nephew’s 7th birthday + random babblings

It was my nephew’s 7th birthday yesterday and was so busy the whole day, going to the grocery, cooking and had my manicure-ped at the end of the day, gotta prepare for the big day and will be seeing my BF after how many weeks, missed him so much. I was supposed to have my nails done at Nail a holics in Cash Carry, Makati but too many people were there and I was in a hurry so I opted for FSalon near our place. It is cheaper and so far the in regards to my manicure-ped it was okay, my only complain there was that it was so warm inside and they decided to turn on the AC when I was almost done. Grrrr! Bad service and those girls kept on making gossip, instead of having a relaxing pampering moment, it was useless. Oh well, that’s why those Nail spas are much more better than the one in FSalon. My thursday had been busy but it was worth it, I love my nephew to bits even if he is so kulit at times. Kids say the darnest things really! So happy birthday to you Tyler! kisses.

When my sister got home, I was really really happy because in her hands was my most favorite body spray, Victoria’s Secret Delicate Petals. Her partner gave it to me actually as a pasalubong from her dad from the States and I was never expecting her to give me anything. But of course I loved my VS set, body spray, lotion and body wash. Thank you, thank you!

 Image0778

For body spray VS is one of my favorites, but for perfumes I always go for Lancome’s Miracle.

I have recently tried Garnier’s Light cream and I swear to this, however my problem is having an oily face that, I’ve recently found another line from Garnier which has a new formula that has a 6hr shine free look. I think is perfect because not only do I love the 3 other formulas which is the anti – dullness, anti-dark spots and anti- acne marks but now with a new oil trapping formula all-in-one great product! I am so loving Garnier!

Image0777

Tomorrow is the BIG day, my graduation! Yippee! My weekend will sure be special. BF and I will be celebrating to a nice all you can eat Japanese food, movies and lot’s of quality time.

To all Graduating students 2010, Congratulations to us!

graduation

Till next time!

Cerealicious edited

As a kid I grew up eating cereals for breakfast, and my favorites would be Coco Pops and Frosties. There are actually such a wide variety of cereals in the supermarket from health buffs to kids favorites like Fruit loops and Cap'n Crunch. From time to time, I still go for the kids favorites (haha), but of course being 26, I have to be more health conscious with what I'm eating (yeah right!) lol! It's good they have the granola type, and also Nestle Fitness, but for now my favorite would be Banana nut Crunch!

It's obvious by now what my food review would be huh? Yes, it's about cereals, particularly Cerealicious. Well, I think the first time I saw this was at the Food Network somewhere in the states and I said to myself, it would be great if they also have it here in the Philippines, and so they did! But it was only a few weeks ago that I was able to try this. Being summer and scorching hot weather while at Robinson's Ermita, I was thinking of what I will be having for lunch and of course I chose Japanese, but then it was so hot and I was so exhausted from going around places (so busy for graduation and deadlines) that I passed by Cerealicious. It was perfect! cold milk, cereals my fave! yum yum. So there I was in the counter choosing from their different kinds of cereals that were named after movies. I ordered the Super K, which had Banana nut crunch, mangoes, granola and milkshake. I was actually expecting the regular milk but was surprised that they turned regular liquid milk to milkshake which blends perfectly well. I'm not really into cereals topped with chocolates or cookies, I prefer it with that kind of toppings with ice cream or yogurt. So my Super K experience at Cerealicious was sooooooooo good. Which cost me only P50 but if you want the large one it costs only P85, not that bad really. But you can make you own, although I think that would be more expensive though. They have a quaint ambiance and it has a feeling like your in a candy store.

Image0759

Image0761         I find the names really cute like, I-rone Man, Jumango, etc.

Image0729     My order, The K after tomorrow – with Super K (low fat cornflakes, granola, mangoes and regular milkshake)

Cerealicious can  be found in Robinson's Ermita in Mid town. This is also perfect for summer if you want to cool down and enjoy a cup of cereal!

My Verdict: 4.5/5 spoons

Will definitely eat there again! yum!

Asian Bites

I just got home from Robinson’s Manila with my sister, it was our bonding moment since we rarely go out together just the two of us (besides attending mass of course), Going to the mall with very little money was a challenge for me, as I really hate going out and not having to buy anything, but what the heck! at least I know what to buy next time and had fun spending some time with my “little” sister, she ain’t little no more, but every time we’re out she feels like a kid as she says haha. We met up almost lunch time and we we’re both hungry so we decided to eat, I suggested to eat at Asian Bites at the Robinson’s Supermarket, It appears that their dishes are good. Man, I was sooooo wrong. First of all, their prices are god damn expensive and their not even a Japanese fast food restaurant like Terriyaki Boy or Tokyo Tokyo, for 1 pc. of Salmon sushi it will cost you P35. My sister and I both ordered the Crabstick omelette, sounds and looks appealing right? Sooo, dead wrong 2nd time! This cost us P89 and the omelette itself was so thin and had little shreds of kani crab. I ordered their siomai, which costs P49 for 4pcs, at least this one tasted O-kay. I find their prices so expensive, but dishes served are almost just like Okuya in Glorietta, food choices. Must be because of rent of place that’s why it’s priced exaggeratingly. Pictures below

Image0748

Image0747

Their beef Gyudon costs P129, but in Okuya it’s only P90 and really tastes good. Although I haven’t tried Asian Bites Gyudon bowl, but I wouldn’t attempt to.

Image0753

                                 Crabstick Omelette P89

Image0754                                      Siomai 4pcs. P49

Image0750

Well, we we’re both disappointed and wished we had eaten at the place where they sell pasta in a cup, which was a bit cheaper than the one we had ordered. But at least I have tried Asian Bites.

My Verdict: 1.3/5 spoons (their customer service was okay and the place is clean)

Will I eat here again? Despite that there are other dishes offered, I would never eat here again, ever. (I sound such a meanie huh? hehe.)

Asian Bites can be found at Robinson’s Ermita, Midtown near Savory Chicken, ground floor.

                                            My sister

Have anyone tried eating other dishes here at Asian Bites? What can you say?

Till next time!

My Super K Cereal, yum!

regarding the milkshake, it's not the type of sweet milkshake, tastes like regular milk just frozen)

Cerealicious can  be found in Robinson's Ermita in Mid town. This is also perfect for summer if you want to cool down and enjoy a cup of cereal!

Shen's Addiction Second Year Anniversary + Blog Giveaway!

Cosmetics is something I thought I'd never like or L-O-V-E, well that's what I said way back in Grade 7. But as puberty hit and became aware of the wonderful world of make-up, this is something I fell in love with and became passionate about. This is why when I start earning my own money, these are one of the things that I'd definitely buy and be able to buy make-up from Lancome, Shu Uemura, etc. Although I used to buy these before, I still  have my trusty Shu Uemura eye lash curler and still works fine, but of course I'd want to buy a new one (haha). So, in my passion for  make-up I was very happy to have  moved my blog here at blogspot, I used to be in multiply but there are more online buyers there than real bloggers. I started to make reviews about the things I love and do and others some rather personal stuff. The multiply site helped me find beauty bloggers for their make-up reviews, and I encountered Shen's Addiction, she's the first beauty blogger I found out about and been a follower ever since, I think it's been 2 months since my move here.

Here's her contest:

Garnier cream, new L-O-V-E

I’ve always been a loyal user of POND’s ever since I hit puberty, now that I am 26 I really want to take care more of my skin, it’s not that I am afraid of aging but because I want to look beautiful for myself and for BF. I am really determined to hit the gym as soon as I graduate and start earning my own money. I’ve been having dark spots in my right side of my face from the temple, down to the middle of my cheeks and it has been a stubborn one for the longest time, for that skin problem I have been always using PONDS anti dark spots cream but it seems that it is not helping lighten that area for the longest time. Besides having dark spots, my face is quite dull if you really look into it. So, just this week I started to buy

Garnier Skin Naturals Light says: Whiten and protect moisturizing cream, Anti dark spots and dullness, With long dan + pure lemon essence with SPF 15.

I bought the sachet just to test it out and I swear by this product from now on! I have been using this for barely a week and I noticed my problem area did really lighten. I am actually really happy now and will definitely use this and try all their products from now on. The 8ml sachet costs P19 only and can last you a week, since I use it for morning and night. However, since I have an oily face through mid day my face became shiny (but that was because I was too busy to even look at my face that time), I’ll be more wary next time and remind myself to pt on my face with my Gatsby blotting film and everything will be perfect. this product is also good because it has SPF15 since summer is here, this is one item that I’d definitely won’t leave the house without. I’m glad I switched!

Image0717

note: These are based in my experience and products may vary depending on different skin types of people. Also, as much as I’d love to do a before and after my camera phone won’t do justice. :(

My Verdict: 4.5/5

Will I repurchase? Yes
