Tech Love: Impressions on the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1

Without further ado, here’s my unboxing and a slight first impressions of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1.

We received the 16GB which retails at roughly P21,000++ while the 32GB will probably cost more. I’m pretty hard core when it comes to apps and probably the 16GB will be maximized at it’s full potential in the future.

Tech Love: Happiness is just a Tab away!

IMG_2699

The storm today definitely is not enough to keep me and my sister from being ecstatic! We finally got our very own prizes from the Samsung Mobile Philippines, Make my life better contest – Oh happy dance!

We still could not believe that we won as there were hundreds to thousands of entries that joined.

Many thanks to Jeck and Carlo for choosing our entry. He even said that our entry was one of the best among the others, in fact- Golden! – WOW! We were blushing and smirking deep inside.

We were all smiles up to the end of our ears, maybe even more.

Tech loving: My PS3 is finally back!

Somebody is back home and this time (FINALLY) with an installed Mortal Kombat! WOOT! My boyfriend gifted me a PSN card about a month ago, so that I can have my own full copy of Mortal Kombat for the PS3.

It took me a month to download and when it was finally at 100% installing, my file was apparently corrupted. I was so pissed that time, so I had to let Martin fix the file for a week. And as promised Mortal Kombat for le kitty! Weeee. Thanks so much babe <3

Tech Loving: Canon EOS Rebel T3 1100D

Thank God it’s Friday! For today’s post is my unboxing with the Canon 1100D. It was a very special gift which I received last month. I’m still currently tinkering with my gadget so tech review to follow.

These photos were taken the same day I received it. I was very much excited, too excited to care for composing decent photo layout.

Geeking out on gadgets

I recently acquired a new baby in my gadget collection and I’m quite happy with it. My boyfriend has 2 PS3’s a Silver Phat and a Red Slim one (which he gifted to himself last Christmas).

Since he no longer uses his Phat he decided to hand over his old baby. We have this weird way of calling our gadgets.

I rearranged my room and put up a small gaming area. Refer to photo below to see what I mean.

Tech talk: HP Retractable Mouse

Happy Friday my dear readers! Finally just one more day before the weekend and it’s going to be another busy weekend for me. As usual Saturday’s are spent with my man and this Sunday is my nephew’s 9th birthday.

As I posted last night about the goodies I bought and received, here’s the first goodie up for review. I bought a retractable HP Mini Optical Mouse at the FireWyre store in Alphaland Mall yesterday. I was torn between the Deluxe brand and this but my BF said that a retractable mouse is more convenient.

Some shopping and a day spent with good friends

Before I go back to my regular blog posts, I just want to say thank you to those who commented in my Coping, Grieving post. I still am very sad with what happened and admittedly still at a guilt phase. Anyway, thanks for the sweet comments, I truly appreciate new commenters in my blog. Thank you.

A special shout out to my new follower in my Facebook page - Inside A Cat’s Mind’s fan page, Carmen Watkins and for the very kind comment. Thank you.

Gamer girlfriend + Advanced birthday surprise and CATS!

I always look forward to weekends, Saturday’s spent with my man, it was our regular RnR at his place for a gaming session. He actually let me try Demon Souls and Amalur: Reckoning, you see my BF is a hardcore gamer/ gamer geek and recently in his Facebook status updates is mostly about his gaming journey with Demon Souls, how freaking hard the game is and I was able to experience it myself and now I understand his “frustration”. First of all, the controls are different, you will be using the L and R button’s for attacking or defense, and then the d pad to switch equipments /skills and potion and then the analog stick to move. It was overwhelming and hard! Let me rephrase that, it will eat your soullllllll! (haha). Not to brag or anything, my BF’s best friend Jon only lasted a minute, I for one lasted an hour. So it’s not that bad considering it’s my first time. My class is Royalty, which both uses magic and long rage weapons.

What I love about these kinds of games is customization, here’s how my character in Demon Soul’s look like (see photo below).

DSCN6284

DSCN6285

Pretty plane jane right? All through out the game I kept screaming like a scaredy cat and told Martin that I wanted to rest for a while. He recommended that I try Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, which I enjoyed more over Demon Souls and also because my character looks way better (hehe). See photo below

I think Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is the game for me, it’s much more light hearted and slightly plays the same as Demon Souls only easier. This is just the demo only, release of the game will be sometime in February for PS3. I played almost the whole afternoon, and after that we were able to catch Sherlock Holmes on HBO.

For lunch, I cooked burger patties, luncheon meat and egg sarciado (no photos sorry),  unfortunately, the burger patties was burned (almost charcoal like – haha), the fire was to high and I did not set it on low. My man kept on complaining about the patties (sorry babe, next time will make better patties for you), but at least the saving grace was the egg. We tried a new drink stall at a nearby grocery which I will be posting in my other blog. Before heading home, I was caught of guard by his advance birthday gift which was really sweet of him.

Someone was extravagant that day (thanks love!), will make a review of this sometime this week. And while I was taking a photo, this cat always wants to be the star (see photo below).

Martin has a very, VERY noisy cat named Tigger…..

We both had a blast and missed each other dearly, I can’t wait to spend time with him again this weekend!

Hope you guys had a great weekend too~

Tech talk: CD-R King Wireless router review

My man is the type who likes giving gifts that would serve a purpose for long term. I wanted a play dough cake maker and I thought, he’d get me that – hehe. But he said, when I’m done with the play dough, what’s next? And with that, he gifted me a router instead. Nonetheless, I love it! I can download apps non stop.

Saturday of Food, movies and A gadget

Saturday came and quite a lot had happened, but the highlight of the day was when my man happily rewarded something for himself for this Christmas. Originally, we were supposed to go to Mall of Asia, but since we had breakfast at Alpha Land, we instead decided to spend our day at Glorietta Makati.

Our breakfast, we both ordered the same thing, but for my drinks I chose Ice tea. Their hashbrown was sa makunat, for a breakfast item, this is not how it should have been. For our main dish, we always have our favorite longganisa meal.

Tech Love: Android 4.0 Ice cream sandwich

I’m not much of a ice cream lover, but there is one kind of ice cream that I would L-O-V-E! It’s the Android 4.0 Ice cream sandwich

Everything about it is LOVE! I love that it’s customizable and looks much sleeker, better features like, face unlock and to top it off, it has a 12 MP camera, not bad for a camera phone. I can go on and on really, but just refer to the link here for more info.

I just hope it also has the auto focus and macro feature. Definitely, I have to have this phone, most probably by next year, since it’s better to wait.

I hope when it’s released I get the chance to test the phone or maybe own one? (ahem ahem) XD

         Till then!

Tech talk: My first Impression with the Nokia X7

The design looks bad ass, seems to be more fit for men rather than women (sort of looks like a robot/transformers), but if you’re a gamer and loves movies, then this is definitely the phone for you.

Here’s a video of my impressions and a video sample from the X7. I wish you can see the video quality as it is really amazing for a smartphone. Now I know why it’s called the Entertainment smartphone, because it definitely is. As for gaming, it was slow since it only has 680 MHZ.

Tech talk: Nokia X7 unboxing

Hey everyone, as promised, here’s my revelation for the package I received. But before that, a shout out to (E, forgive me if I wasn’t able to reply to your text last night, I was busy and had to attend to some things, oh and that I don’t have load rin pala, wahahaha.)

Anyway, I was given a chance (again) to review a Nokia phone, I didn’t hesitate to say yes, since I’m curious on the new OS Symbian^Anna of what it has to offer. So yes, you read it right! Symbian Anna for the Nokia X7. Here’s a run down of the unboxing.

And the Pièce de résistance~

DSCN3906

The Nokia X7 is a entertainment smartphone, which has the updated (OS) operating system, Symbian Anna. Most Nokia phones runs on a Symbian / Symbian^3 and the discontinued Maemo software for the N900. The Anna is an updated OS which features a faster web browsing experience, new icon interface, an update to Ovi Maps and enhanced security features and a new split-screen view.

The handset features a 4” inch touch screen AMOLED, with a stainless steel and glass design (you have to see it to believe it, lol). It has an 8MP camera, with dual LED flash. But more on the specs on my next post, or you can just google it xD

I wish my camera can capture on how sleek the phone is and mind you it is more heavier than my android, because of the stainless steel finish.

A one of a kind Cassava cake and my “new” tripod

   Food post… Cassava~

Buddy’s cassava is good, but I’m not really a fan of desserts like this one. Last night my mom brought home a one of a kind cassava cake, her friend made it and they have a shop somewhere in San Juan. What’s makes it appealing for me? Refer to photos below…

They are so soft and looks like little Crème Brûlée’s noh?

DSCN3706

DSCN3708

DSCN3709

It has that Crème Brûlée’s consistency (slight), and it’s much softer as compared to Buddy’s. Buddy’s and Cassava crème royal are both different in their own ways. I may not be a huge cassava dessert fan but this one is worthy in my list.

    Cassava crème royal says:

Experience the countryside in this traditional recipe of homemade goodness. A high-enery booster, Cassava Creme Roy prepared is distinctly prepared from farm-fresh superior quality cassava root crops, cultivated organically in Southern Luzon, where tropical sunshine rests idealy for growing cassava.

With its delightful mouthwatering quick melt double cream topping, Cassava Creme Royal truly an idyllic companion for soda, juice drinks, tea or coffee. Proudly Filipino!

DSCN3704

I can’t wait to eat this tomorrow, I’m still so full from tonight’s dinner – Mechado.

      Cassava cake anyone?

Oh by the way, I just wanted to share with you my new tripod

C360_2011-07-10 15-41-48_org

I was taking a video of my nephew’s, what goes on during our weekends at home. This tripod isn’t new really, it’s my mom’s. But since she’s not using it, I arbor-d it instead, yahoo. LOL!
