My Last Blog Post for Blogger

Hello Dearest Readers of Inside A Cat's Mind (blogspot),

Thank you for your continued support and interest in reading my blog. It means so much to me that people find my blog 'informative'. However, I've decided to move to a different blog host and I hope that you will still find time to read my articles in my 'new' site called Inside A Cat's Mind. Well, of course it's only fitting that I title my blog where it all started in the first place.

Opinions: The Ugly Truth

Filipinos (probably some) love freebies. I won’t deny that I don’t too as I appreciate receiving freebies from events or promos as well. Difference is, I don’t whine or say bad things about the event organizer if I didn’t receive anything. Besides, being invited is already a huge thing for me.

While browsing through Facebook’s timeline, I came across a quite annoyingly status post from someone who generalized ASIANS and BLOGGERS. If I think about it, I can’t really blame that person for generalizing the blogosphere community. In a previous event I attended to, I was able to observe this kind of attitude in some ‘bloggers’ which is the reason why bloggers are perceived to be ‘freebie hoarders’ or ‘event crashers’. ‘Pinapa- kain ako ng blog ko’ hearing those words are the very reason why the title ‘Blogger’ has a negative impression to it.

Event: Celebrating Christmas with Hello Kitty

Kids and the kid at heart were together in celebrating the launch of SM North Edsa’s, Christmas with Hello Kitty at the Block. The event was pretty crazy as there were A LOT of people that day.

It was actually my first time to go to SM North Edsa, just when I thought SM Mall of Asia was cluttered, I find this mall much more cluttered making MOA a better mall to go to. Well, that’s me anyway.

The event was supposed to start at 4pm but as usual it started fashionably late. I believe I arrived just on time and the production staff was still prepping the place.

You’ve Got Mail: An Invite for the Kitty

Quickie post for today!

It was just a random day after work last week, while browsing through my personal email when I received an interesting mail. It was something not only I love, but something that I’m addicted to.. Hello Kitty! Not only was this pure love but simply awesomeness. YAY!

If you’ve been a long time reader of Inside A Cat’s Mind, you should know my love affair with anything related to Hello Kitty and Cats. So you could imagine how happy I was to have been invited for a Hello Kitty event this coming Saturday. Aside from the invite, I was also asked if I could have some of my hello kitty collections as part of their exhibit.

Sunday Mornings: Bread of Life

I’m happy that my family and I are now attending worship at Bread of Life, Greenbelt 1. It’s true when they say once you have found your church, you feel different (in a content/happy way). My family and I have been attending worship at Bread roughly around 5 years. I can’t remember the exact date we first attended worship there, nor the exact number of years we have stayed as we used to attend church at The Holy Trinity, McKinley Forbes park.

We literally grew up at Holy Trinity, but for some reason we just stopped attending church there and whatever reason it may be, I’ll just keep it at that as I don’t want to bash.

Quickie Haul

Hello Everyone! This will be a short post about another mini haul post for today. I bought just the basic stuff I needed because I was hitting pan already. I’m in need of a new foundation and initially, I wanted to buy the Majolica Majorca’s Pore cover foundation, but that would have to wait when money permits as I’m trying hard not to over spend beyond my means. The pore cover foundation in total would cost me P1,300+ so yeah.

My goal before this year is to at least reach 10k worth of savings in my passbook (good luck to me). Which is why, if I do plan to buy something it would have to be really important or because I’ve run out of that certain product.

Tech Love: Impressions on the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1

Without further ado, here’s my unboxing and a slight first impressions of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1.

We received the 16GB which retails at roughly P21,000++ while the 32GB will probably cost more. I’m pretty hard core when it comes to apps and probably the 16GB will be maximized at it’s full potential in the future.

Inside A Cat’s Mind–Thankful

This week has been one of the best so far recently. Just this morning as I was preparing for a shoot, I checked my email and received an invite. I can’t disclose details about it yet, but it’s a pretty interesting one and most importantly something I’m addicted to. Don’t worry, if you know me, I would definitely blog about the event after.

My sister and I are still on a happy hangover from the contest we won and so is our mom, that she wrote a short article about us in her weekly Street Smart section. Thanks mom!

My mom was really happy for us for winning an awesome prize from Samsung Mobile Philippines.

Tech Love: Happiness is just a Tab away!

IMG_2699

The storm today definitely is not enough to keep me and my sister from being ecstatic! We finally got our very own prizes from the Samsung Mobile Philippines, Make my life better contest – Oh happy dance!

We still could not believe that we won as there were hundreds to thousands of entries that joined.

Many thanks to Jeck and Carlo for choosing our entry. He even said that our entry was one of the best among the others, in fact- Golden! – WOW! We were blushing and smirking deep inside.

We were all smiles up to the end of our ears, maybe even more.

My thoughts on Etude’s Bubble Hair Coloring

Hello dear readers! Happy Hump day! Definitely is a happy hump day for me today, as I received a call from Samsung that I can claim my prize tomorrow with my sister! Woo hoo!

Anyhow, I wanted to share my thoughts about Etude’s Hair Color Bubble, which I bought during my haul last week. I know a lot of people have raved and made a review about it, but 2 people namely Kari and Mars from hereismars asked if I can post photos.

I wanted to sport a red hair and luckily they have the red wine at SM Beauty Makati.

Realizations: War Horse

After a very short weekend, we are yet again back to the long work week. The body dreads it, but I’m prepared for the challenges that I will face. Especially because it’s almost deadline and I hope I finish everything this week.

Attending worship yesterday at Bread of Life, Greenbelt 1 also helped my perspective about almost everything. When asked who is going through pain, there was little show of hands, but quite frankly, aren’t we all going through pain?

Happy Kitten! Happy Friday!

I recently have been joining contests again, and just a few days ago I received my prize of Cetaphil products rom Rollercoasterride’s blog.

Cetaphil is a product that is much loved in our household, thanks to my sister Amanda. Winning from a contest is an added bonus, thank you Janice.

Unfortunately, the first photos can’t be uploaded because the image format was under a RAW file format (which is not my usual format when I take pictures – long story). Those were the cute ones because our little kitten was included. Ha-ha!

Anyhow, here are the prizes and her note.

What’s in a Haul?

Hello dear readers! Finally it’s Friday! Where I can officially get to kick off my shoes and just relax (at least for one day).

It’s been pretty busy with work and I feel a bit frustrated for slipping up, but I take it as a challenge and learn from my mistakes. As much as I am looking forward for the weekend, I’m also excited on what will happen for next week.

In the mean time, I was able to squeeze in some shopping/rewarding myself last week and also earlier today. Of course, this post is about the inevitable haul post that I would like to share with you. Might not be interesting for most, but probably for some whose curious to know, here’s what the kitty bought last week.

Beating the Oilies with L'Oreal Hydra fresh

After almost a month of product testing my L'Oreal Hydra fresh facial foam and anti – shine gel, I can now write down my thoughts about this product.

IMG_1777

I’m happy that I decided to buy this product a month ago. I’ve tried a couple of oil control facial washes but none has really worked (that well) for someone who has a bad case of oilies in the face.

Gamers Corner: DOTA 2

It’s been a while since I posted anything about games. My PS3 died down on me 3 months ago, so my only source of gaming would be PC/ laptop which is DOTA the original mod on Warcraft III.

But that is pretty old news already as DOTA 2 is slowly making it’s way available for fans. I joined STEAM, a gaming community where you can instantly access games and meet people online. You can check out more about STEAM in their website.

It was actually Martin who introduced me to STEAM and I’ve been a member since then. I installed the Kingdom of Amalur demo, and it’s definitely a good replacement for console gaming. The only thing you have to consider though is your specs. Sadly, my specs let’s say is not fit for hardcore gaming use so my DOTA 2 experience is a bit shitty – excuse the term.

When I finally received my confirmation code from Steam support. I was excited and downloaded it immediately. It took me 2 days to finish my download which is pretty fast.

Still friends

It’s the start of the week again and time to roll up our sleeves! Hopefully this will be a good start of the week for all of us!

Amidst all my drama about my breakup with my ex BF, we still manage to be good friends. We’re both working on our differences and perhaps maybe in the future, we would be back together although there are no assurances. Well, let’s just see how things will go. We both have our own lives now to pursue and careers to build, I’m just happy that we still communicate every now and then. After all, we did start as really good friends back in college. And I still believe that every relationship should have that foundation.

Sponsored post: Ginvera BB cream in Green Tea

Happy hump day people! As promised I want to share my BB cream experience with Ginvera.

As I mentioned in my previous post, I rarely include BB cream in my make-up routine for a couple of reasons. First off, I have very oily skin and it’s only recently that I found a skin care that helps regulate the sebum. Secondly, I know I haven’t tried a lot of BB creams, but more often than not it doesn’t look as natural to me.

Comparison

I’ve only tried Dr. Jart’s BB cream a year ago, and even the oil control doesn’t help. If there is one thing I liked about Dr. Jart is the coverage. I think I wasn’t able to make a “review” about the product, but I won 2 small tubes from Annalyn’s contest a year or two ago.

Moving on to Ginvera

Sponsored Post: Ginvera BB cream in the mail

The kind folks over at Sendah Pinoy courtesy of Mel, asked me to review one of their featured products in their site.

Ginvera BB cream, a product from Singapore. BB cream is not really a staple in my make-up routine because I’ve yet to find one that won’t give me a white cast and at the same time won’t make my face much more oily than it already is.  Since I’ve only tried Dr. Jart BB cream, I am more than willing to experiment and see if I will like it or not.

I will make a review as soon as I have the extra time to take photos of swatches and that I have given the product enough time to test it out. And just a heads up,  I will not sugar coat a review just because it is given to me.

In the mean time, I simply want to say thank you for sending me a couple of samples for me to try.

The Kitty say’s Meow, I’m back!

After almost 2 months of no blog posts, I just dropped by to say I’m alive!

Hello dear readers, I hope everyone is doing fine. I wasn’t really out of reach since, I still read blogs of the people I follow in my blog roll. I just haven’t had the time and slightly lost interest on posting about reviews on Skin care and whatsoever. It’s almost been two months too that I haven’t posted any pictures in my Facebook as well. So, I guess I’m “back” again.

Update: Carb Trim, what sorcery are you?

Hello dear readers! I just wanted to share about my update on my Carb Trim experiment for the past week. I know I mentioned that I will be posting results in 2 months, but I’m pretty shocked at the results.

In my previous post about a few days ago, I bought a box of Carb Trim Lemon flavor. But since a box consists of only 6 sachets, I ran out of stock and decided to try a new flavor this time because I find the lemon abit too strong.

My MAFBEX 2012 Experience

Happy Monday dear readers! I would like to share my MAFBEX experience last week, which my sister and I attended last week at the World Trade Center.

It was actually more of a school requirement for her, and also because I wanted to get out and check out possible contacts for machines and supplies for our food business.

We were able to see the whole event area on the first hall, which was full of food, kitchen, baking supplies, machines and everything you need and want. The second hall was for events and free seminars.

An Awareness to Pet Owners: Well-Fed, Well-Nourished Campaign

Happy Monday to you dear readers! It’s been a busy week but quite fruitful! Aside from my food business, I was lucky to have been invited for a campaign launch last Friday at Lolo Dad’s Brasserie 6750 Makati.

I was invited by Strategic Edge, Incorporated for the Well-Fed, Well-Nourished Campaign Launch by PFI (Pet Food Institute) and VPAP (Veterinary Practitioners Association of the Philippines).

Product review: Kustie Apricot Brightening+Whitening body scrub

Here’s another product review that I am currently loving.

One of my shower rituals (at least twice or thrice a week) is to use body scrubs. And yes, it’s another whitening product.

I was lucky to have bought it on sale for only P239. But even if it wasn’t on sale I’d still be happy because I’m  loving the Kustie brightening+whitening scrub.  It’s been out in the market for a long time, but finally with much curiosity I  finally bought my lemming.

Weekends: Attending Summer KOMIKON

Last Saturday, was another annual summer Komikon event held at Robinson’s Pioneer. Although, there were no new launches from ZsaZsa Zaturnnah or TRESE there wasn’t something for me to look forward to. Except for one tiny thing, my man was able to release his comic teaser entitled “Chronicles of Ascalon”.

As soon as we finished photo copying all 50 copies, we drove straight to Bayanihan Center.

What was supposed to be posted last Friday

Happy Monday everyone!  Another week ahead and a lot had happened this weekend for this kitty. Last Friday, my older sister gave me a new set of earrings from the Fashion Week event. The design is okay, but what drew me to it was the name.

Celebrating my BF’s 29th

Here’s what happened in my man’s “2 day” birthday celebration.

I paid him a surprise visit last Friday in his office, and good thing my plan worked.

Guided by Angels

Hello everyone! It’s another manic Monday and I did not have enough rest last weekend. I had fun in my BF’s 29th celebration last Saturday. The party finished past 2 am and I was relieved to arrive home and jump on my bed, for a good night’s sleep.

The next morning at around 9 am, our house helper woke me up frantically and told me to wake up. My mom met an accident, a couple of streets away from our house. It was a bad accident that could turn really ugly and it was only my mom inside the car. She got hit by a speeding Vios car, with a driver named Prescian Tejada

Shopping: Finally bought Kustie and random babblings

Shopping is always fun and I did just that yesterday before heading home from Mandarin Hotel. I went to SM Makati and it’s always nice to go shopping to the mall when it’s just opened.

The real reason why I wanted to go to SM Makati beauty section, was because I’ve been wanting to buy the Kustie brightening+whitening body scrub. Among other things, we already ran out of hand soap. Good thing the hand soap and the Kustie was on sale.

Ramblings: Discovering A Red Lippie

A sot so new discovery. I’ve been recently using my Sephora palette more, specifically the blushes and lip colors.

In my love for a red shade lipstick (well what woman doesn’t right?), It was only a few weeks ago that I discovered my new found red shade from this palette. You can refer to this post on how the Sephora Color Play palette looks.

Most of the eye shadows are barely touched. The most used are the neutral colors along with their blushes.

My first Snoe purchase

Yesterday, I was out with my sister to help her buy a gift and a cake for his boyfriend for his birthday today. Since I’ve been lemming in trying Snoe products, I decided to buy the Snoe whitening soap at Cinderella.

Ever since Snoe products came out in the market, I’ve been really curious about their products and It’s great that I can buy Snoe products in Glorietta. The salesman in charge of the small kiosk inside Cinderella was very friendly. I ended up buying one product, which is the Snoe White Extra strength glutathione beauty bar.

Anyhow, here’s my very first Snoe product.

My purchases from Daiso

Yesterday, I paid a visit to Daiso in Alphaland Magallanes Mall. It’s my favorite go to place when I’m in need of organizing stuff or whatnots.

I wanted to buy a couple of things for my work station, but will probably buy those next time. In the mean time, here’s what I bought.

Tech loving: My PS3 is finally back!

Somebody is back home and this time (FINALLY) with an installed Mortal Kombat! WOOT! My boyfriend gifted me a PSN card about a month ago, so that I can have my own full copy of Mortal Kombat for the PS3.

It took me a month to download and when it was finally at 100% installing, my file was apparently corrupted. I was so pissed that time, so I had to let Martin fix the file for a week. And as promised Mortal Kombat for le kitty! Weeee. Thanks so much babe <3

Thank God it’s Friday! For today’s post is my unboxing with the Canon 1100D. It was a very special gift which I received last month. I’m still currently tinkering with my gadget so tech review to follow.

These photos were taken the same day I received it. I was very much excited, too excited to care for composing decent photo layout.

Midweek Journal Ramblings~

Happy midweek everyone! Last week was quite a buzz as people have been posting status updates about the movie AVENGERS. I was happy to have watched the movie (finally) with my boyfriend and the rest of the gang last Sunday at Glorietta.

Before the day ended, I was touched when Martin gave me a box of Chocolate Rhum Balls from Captain’s Mix and Magic. The gesture was unexpected as he rarely surprises me with chocolates.

A Day With A Dear Friend and Weekend Pets

Last week, I went to Stacy’s house to hang out and luckily despite it’s my first time to travel to her house alone, I didn’t get lost.

Anyway, I slightly envy her collection. She has all the consoles and hand held games (PS3, Xbox, Wii, Nintendo DS XL, 3DS, PSP, and Vita). Every gamers dream is to have them right?

Hello Everyone! Once again we say Thank God It’s Friday! I was in Megamall yesterday to attend to a bloggers food event, which you can check out in my other blog Adventures Of A Lady Explorer.

After the event I went to Watson’s because I needed to buy my Celeteque Oil Control Toner and Kustie body scrub. Unfortunately, the body scrub wasn’t available that time. Anyway, here are the 2 items purchased from Watson’s.

Up until now I am still speechless of how blessed and how lucky I am. Unfortunately, I can’t divulge further information about it but here’s why I am blessed and very much happy.

Words have failed me this time but… Thank you with all my heart! The gesture is so big and unexpected that I feel I have to repay you. But thank you :)

At first I thought this was the only surprise that day. Please see photo below.

Tech talk: Instagram now available for Android users

Today is the much awaited day! Finally Instagram is now available for Android users.

Ever since I read the news about Instagram that it will soon be available for the Android, I was ecstatic! The news however left Android users guessing on when it will be available for download in the Google Play market. The only information developers confirmed was that, Instagram will be better for the Android version.

I was reading Mashable’s article about the Instagram sign-up page last March 25, 2012 and of course I was also one of those who signed-up in their website. Here’s what it showed in their sign-up page. See photo below to see what I mean.

Geeking out on gadgets

I recently acquired a new baby in my gadget collection and I’m quite happy with it. My boyfriend has 2 PS3’s a Silver Phat and a Red Slim one (which he gifted to himself last Christmas).

Since he no longer uses his Phat he decided to hand over his old baby. We have this weird way of calling our gadgets.

I rearranged my room and put up a small gaming area. Refer to photo below to see what I mean.

Tech talk: HP Retractable Mouse

Happy Friday my dear readers! Finally just one more day before the weekend and it’s going to be another busy weekend for me. As usual Saturday’s are spent with my man and this Sunday is my nephew’s 9th birthday.

As I posted last night about the goodies I bought and received, here’s the first goodie up for review. I bought a retractable HP Mini Optical Mouse at the FireWyre store in Alphaland Mall yesterday. I was torn between the Deluxe brand and this but my BF said that a retractable mouse is more convenient.

Beauty post: Pure Beauty Cleansing Oil

        Beauty post for the week!

I’ve had the Pure Beauty cleansing oil for sensitive skin for over a month now and I think it’s about time to make a review on how it works for me. Since we all have different skin types, the cleansing oil may react differently on each skin type.

I was in need of a makeup remover and decided to try this product out. The price is affordable for only P119 for a bottle.

Some shopping and a day spent with good friends

Before I go back to my regular blog posts, I just want to say thank you to those who commented in my Coping, Grieving post. I still am very sad with what happened and admittedly still at a guilt phase. Anyway, thanks for the sweet comments, I truly appreciate new commenters in my blog. Thank you.

A special shout out to my new follower in my Facebook page - Inside A Cat’s Mind’s fan page, Carmen Watkins and for the very kind comment. Thank you.

Coping, Grieving

      Dear Roguey,

I didn’t know it would be the end of our journey together. I wish I had spent more time with you that night, or let you out in the cage. I was excited to see you when we got home yesterday around past 4PM, only to hear that you unexpectedly passed away. We have 2 hunches of what may have happened, but it won’t bring you back anymore.

So I hope you are now in a better place, but forgive me if I mourn. I love you Rougey, I’m sure you know that. I will never forget you and no one can replace you. You are full of life and always wants to mess up my bed. Even if I had fed you, you are still hungry.

I miss you so. I don’t know how long I will be grieving, for it’s my first time to feel like this. Maybe in time….

                               A POEM FOR THE GRIEVING...

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die...

Weekend dates

Last weekend, I was happy to have spent my 2 weekends with my man and best friend Stacy. Our date with Stacy (on a Sunday) was more of a unexpected date, one of our friends wasn’t able to make it, but hopefully this Saturday she will.

My man and I decided to go to MOA for a change, which was really a bad idea because of the holiday and the Pyromusical event. All the time that we were there, I was ranting how much I hate how the mall looks, specially the food court. I think the only reason why I would go back to Mall of Asia is because of, Pet Express, the restaurants and the soon to open Uniqlo (hoping they would sell Hello Kitty t-shirts). After our dinner, I was finally able to use my sister’s gift for me, a Red Mango gift check – thank you so much dear sister~

A Carlo Vergara collection

I was going through my small comic collection and it seems that Carlo Vergara’s creation fills up my shelves the most. It was my man who introduced me to the world of our local comics industry, which I eventually share the same passion now with the boyfriend. I got my very first copy of Ang Kagila-gilalas na Pakikipagsapalaran ni  ZsaZsa Zaturnnah in 2009, I was able to have it signed during a Mangaholix event (2009).

Facial hair remover and random things

I’ve been always conscious of my lip hair and when I saw Lady E featured the Watson’s Steel facial hair remover, I wanted to try it and because it’s inexpensive too. My sister and I tried it the first time and it was rather difficult at first, all you need is to practice, practice and practice. And currently I am still practicing, it is effective and yes it stings a bit (think of plucking your eyebrows, that kind of sting).

Record Breaker

This week has been pretty much the busiest week of catching up with my love ones. It was a record breaker for me and my man as we were able to date 4 times in for one week. Monday to Wednesday for our pre, during and post Valentine’s celebration and this coming Saturday for our usual weekend rest and relaxation. I was also able to spend time with my friend Lady E for 2 days straight yesterday and today. After my quick lunch date with my man yesterday, I met up with Esther at Luk Yuen Glorietta 5. Supposedly she was to buy at Ipanema but the lines was crazy because of the sale. She accommodated me with my shopping errands instead.

Lately, I’ve been buying and craving for post it notes and stickers, I asked her to go with me to National Bookstore to check out what they have and I bought these (photo below).

What boredom can do and something bought

What can boredom do? Well, yesterday I was just supposed to clean up my sheets because my very VERY good cat Rogue peed on my bed yet again. Since I was cleaning, I might as well (finally) fix my shelf and put my things, making my room (well almost) a cat haven. The huge shelf used to be a bookshelf but now the other half is piled up with my sisters old things. I cleaned the other half and here’s what it looks like now.

A Double Whammy Celebration

In my other blog, I shared where my mom celebrated her Birthday. It was a first time for my sister Amanda and I to bring our significant other in mom’s party. And also the first time our men met (we’ve been wanting / planning to have a double date day, but it was pretty hard meeting our schedules so it was perfect timing too.

Gym Session on Weekends

Weekends, I’m pretty sure you all know already why this is my favorite day of the week. Anyway, last Saturday was my first time to go to a real gym. As you know, I’ve only been doing dancing and stationary biking at home, so yesterday was pretty interesting for the both of us. It’s much more fun exercising with your significant other, supporting each other instead of cheating your partner for a sexier man or woman. tsk.

As usual, food will always be a part of us but this time on a budget. You can check out what we had here. Since it was my first time going to the gym, I’m sure I looked pretty stupid going through the machines. My favorite is the abdominal equipment and the leg press but the leg press was a bit of a killer.

Glow in the dark

Hey everyone! Friday is here and I can’t wait for the weekend! Last night mom and I had dinner at Luk Yuen, after dinner we went to National bookstore to look for my nephew’s costume. I was supposed to buy more stickers for my journal but found something way cuter (haha).

Celebrating my 28th

Last weekend was a special day for me, February 5th! Well, my real birth date is kind of a long story, but I celebrated on February instead. I was able to spend time with my friends and family at home for my 28th year, yes I’m 28 and I don’t mind the numbers. Most of my friends are gamers, so it was a gaming party at my house.

Gamer girlfriend + Advanced birthday surprise and CATS!

I always look forward to weekends, Saturday’s spent with my man, it was our regular RnR at his place for a gaming session. He actually let me try Demon Souls and Amalur: Reckoning, you see my BF is a hardcore gamer/ gamer geek and recently in his Facebook status updates is mostly about his gaming journey with Demon Souls, how freaking hard the game is and I was able to experience it myself and now I understand his “frustration”. First of all, the controls are different, you will be using the L and R button’s for attacking or defense, and then the d pad to switch equipments /skills and potion and then the analog stick to move. It was overwhelming and hard! Let me rephrase that, it will eat your soullllllll! (haha). Not to brag or anything, my BF’s best friend Jon only lasted a minute, I for one lasted an hour. So it’s not that bad considering it’s my first time. My class is Royalty, which both uses magic and long rage weapons.

What I love about these kinds of games is customization, here’s how my character in Demon Soul’s look like (see photo below).

Pretty plane jane right? All through out the game I kept screaming like a scaredy cat and told Martin that I wanted to rest for a while. He recommended that I try Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, which I enjoyed more over Demon Souls and also because my character looks way better (hehe). See photo below

I think Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is the game for me, it’s much more light hearted and slightly plays the same as Demon Souls only easier. This is just the demo only, release of the game will be sometime in February for PS3. I played almost the whole afternoon, and after that we were able to catch Sherlock Holmes on HBO.

For lunch, I cooked burger patties, luncheon meat and egg sarciado (no photos sorry),  unfortunately, the burger patties was burned (almost charcoal like – haha), the fire was to high and I did not set it on low. My man kept on complaining about the patties (sorry babe, next time will make better patties for you), but at least the saving grace was the egg. We tried a new drink stall at a nearby grocery which I will be posting in my other blog. Before heading home, I was caught of guard by his advance birthday gift which was really sweet of him.

Someone was extravagant that day (thanks love!), will make a review of this sometime this week. And while I was taking a photo, this cat always wants to be the star (see photo below).

We both had a blast and missed each other dearly, I can’t wait to spend time with him again this weekend!

Hope you guys had a great weekend too~

     Till then!

Girl Bonding + My first sauna experience

Before this week ends, I am eager to post my girl bonding with my dearest friend Stacy. She accompanied me to Quezon City last Tuesday and after my meeting she insisted that I stay over at her house to hang out, it’s been a while since we last saw each other.

It was my first time to visit her lovely home and it was really unique, it reminds me of Tagaytay, the stairs was something (I didn’t take a picture of it since, I didn’t want to invade her privacy). We had lunch first cooked by her mom (which I will be posting in my other blog). Anyway, it was pretty neat that she has her very own sauna and jacuzzi at home, I asked permission if I can take pictures and she obliged. It was also my first time to try it and after experiencing it, I felt so relaxed and stress free. My skin also felt so good and my face didn’t oil up that much that day. WOW! (hehe)

DOVE shampoo + NIVEA Lip balm

Hello guys, I’m back from my regular programming. I’ve been recently posting about my travel and food adventure in my other blog, I hope you guys check it out.
In other news, during my travel to Catanduanes here, here and here             I saw in one sari-sari store selling sachets of the new DOVE shampoo. I wanted to buy it but it was raining buckets and I was still coughing really bad. Our tour guide Juriz said that she has a friend working for Unilever, and the DOVE shampoo is the competition of L’oreal. Arriving in Manila, I went to Shopwise to see if they already have it and they do. At first they didn’t have it in sachets yet, I was able to buy one at Gateway with my best friend Stacy.

Some announcement

Hello everyone! It’s been a while, I’ve been so busy lately but I can’t wait to post my new adventure that happened last week. But before that, I’ve decided to make a new blog, dedicated for my travel and food adventure. You can add me or check out my blog namely, Adventures Of A Lady Explorer at Wordpress. Don’t worry, I will still be keeping this blog for other random babbles I share.

I’ve been thinking if I should also post my travel and food blog here in Inside A Cat’s Mind, but then having a dedicated travel and food blog would be useless if I post it here as well. I hope that my loyal readers would follow my other blog.

  Till then!

Quickly

First it was the Frappuccino craze, and then there was tea! But among all those new drinks popping out, there is still one drink that has been enchanting and fulfilling my drink craze time and again…. QUICKLY please!

I remember back then when I was in high school or elementary in St. Scholastica’s College, there used to be a Quickly restaurant near our school. They also have food items there and my sister and I usually have our dinner there after school. Now, it seems that Quickly is just a drink stall in most malls. Quickly was brought here from Taiwan.

This is one healthy beverage that I keep coming back to. I specifically love their Taro, well it’s the only item in the menu that I always order.

Weekend Food trip

It’s always a treat when my Man and I go food tripping on weekends. Aside from spending some quality time, we put our sleeves up and critique’ the food we eat. Food is a serious business, LOL! Last Friday, we met up to watch Sherlock Holmes at Walter Mart (Chino Roces, near Don Bosco). Just to compare which has the better cinema between Cash and Carry and Walter Mart. We were happy that both has Tater’s in their cinema’s, but the one at Walter has a very slow system. We availed of the Major league combo and upsized our drinks to 22 oz for P10 each.

Tech talk: Android Apps–NOOM

I’ve been recently raving about NOOM – a health fitness application. I first tried out Calorie Counter but found NOOM to be much better. I love the workout feature where it counts the actual calories lost when you do a certain exercise, like biking, stationary biking, dancing, etc.

Random Thursday + CATS

Random Thursday is how I can describe my day yesterday! First, mom accompanied me to the dentist to have my teeth cleaned. You see, my pain tolerance is bad, the dentist was good and had light hands, it’s just me really who has a problem. Who knows anyone who cries just having their teeth cleaned? Egad, I wanted the earth to eat me up that moment.

Food review: Taclings!

I’ve always been curious about the food stalls along the hallways of SM Makati. It was the Christmas shopping rush and Martin and I were so hungry and decided to have some appetizer. I bought us Taclings! I always see these small taco’s at Banchetto when it was still in Emerald Oritgas. This costs only P50 each, just choose from beef or tuna filling. I chose the tuna and my man chose beef.

Food review: Bar-B-King

Food tripping with my man is always fun! We rarely eat at expensive restaurants these days so our mantra is to scout for cheap but really good food. When we are in Makati, we either eat at Food choices or SM Makati food court. Last month (yes, this is a back log post) Martin and I ate at Bar-B-King again. He said that their barbecue now tastes much more yummy and 2 pcs of pork barbecue with java rice costs only P100 (no drinks).

Take a Whiff: Her Bench body spray–Tickled in Pink

I’m currently loving the body spray from Her bench, Tickled in pink! I bought this at Shopwise for P120.95. It was my sister who introduced me to Her Bench body spray’s. I was actually planning to buy the So In Love, but it was only the Tickled in pink that was available at that time. The scent surprisingly lingers until the end of the day and it somehow reminds me of the Juicy Couture perfume.

Date on a Monday

Having meals is best when together with family, friends or even your significant other. Last night, my Martin and I met up at Walter Mart to have dinner. He was gone for a few days from his Singapore trip and he was so sweet to have bought me pasalubong. For our food options, we were thinking of whether to eat at Mongolian grill or Karate kid, but because I was craving for Ramen, Karate kid it was. I’ve already dined here a couple of times and one of my staple orders is always Tofu Furai or Fish Katsu. I was disappointed with their beef ramen, so this time I was risky to try their Tempura miso ramen. I would’ve opted for the fish katsu but I didn’t want to eat rice that time.

It’s more fun in Batanes –Mandy Navasero Batanes Photo Safari

With the new slogan of Department of Tourism: “It’s more fun, in the Philippines!” A lot of people are coming up with their own version why it’s more fun in the Philippines.

With that in mind, let me say that, It’s more fun in the Philippines – because of BATANES! I went there a few years back, and I wasn’t really thrilled to go there at first. But then, after going to different destinations like Marlboro Hills, seeing the lighthouse, all magnificient and breath taking. Let the pictures speak for itself.

Currently playing: Nintendo Wii–Just Dance 2

Games can be a source of entertainment, stress reliever and for some a fun way to exercise! My Martin lent me his Nintendo Wii because he rarely uses it, he’s also very supportive of me losing weight which is the real reason why he lent me the Wii. So I can just dance, to Just Dance (game) LOL!

It’s not just because it’s the New year that I’ve decided to seriously lose weight but more of long term reasons and what girlfriend doesn’t want to look good for their significant other right? I also downloaded an app for the android called the Calorie Counter, which basically measures the amount of calories lost when you do a certain exercise. It also measures the calorie intake of your food. I will probably blog about that app soon. Anyhoo, going back to the Wii, is my daily workout. I’ve played all of the songs already and I really wish my man can find a copy of the Just Dance 3, so far the only copies sold are for the Xbox, BOOO!
