Event: Celebrating Christmas with Hello Kitty

 

Kids and the kid at heart were together in celebrating the launch of SM North Edsa’s, Christmas with Hello Kitty at the Block. The event was pretty crazy as there were A LOT of people that day.

It was actually my first time to go to SM North Edsa, just when I thought SM Mall of Asia was cluttered, I find this mall much more cluttered making MOA a better mall to go to. Well, that’s me anyway.

The event was supposed to start at 4pm but as usual it started fashionably late. I believe I arrived just on time and the production staff was still prepping the place.

Quickie post for today!

It was just a random day after work last week, while browsing through my personal email when I received an interesting mail. It was something not only I love, but something that I’m addicted to.. Hello Kitty! Not only was this pure love but simply awesomeness. YAY!

If you’ve been a long time reader of Inside A Cat’s Mind, you should know my love affair with anything related to Hello Kitty and Cats. So you could imagine how happy I was to have been invited for a Hello Kitty event this coming Saturday. Aside from the invite, I was also asked if I could have some of my hello kitty collections as part of their exhibit.

   Quick post….

    Something came in the mail today. It was unexpected actually, I am still recovering on a bad case of dry cough and was feverish the other day. When this certain meow despite her busy busy schedule, thoughtful as ever wanted to make me feel better.

   We’re friends on facebook, so when this meow saw my post and posted a comment I was curious (she told me to wait for manong xend delivery boy).

            The minute I touched the package I knew it wasn’t makeup

    And that meow is my good friend E (Lady E). It was perfect timing, I was a little irritated because my mom lost my other pair of pearl earrings, which came from Boracay and when I saw the E gifted me a set of earrings, NONE THE LESS a HELLO KITTY earring, it was far a better replacement for the lost pearl.

    I so can’t wait to wear this next week, M and a couple of our friends will be watching Captain America this weekend. And I can’t wait for M to see this earrings. hehe~ Thanks E, and of course, I miss you too, I’m going to treat you out next time we see each other again.

 

   Yes, I love ANYTHING hello kitty, I hope M will buy me the hello kitty stuff toy at Toy kingdom soon.

Brushes: THE Sephora Hello Kitty Collectible brush set

 

   Here’s another back log post, forgive me. Remember my post about Finally 2 blogger’s meet? Upon our meet up, she first handed me the most wonderful thing a hello kitty fan could have (for me that is). This is not free, I intend to pay and even get it a few months from now after saving up for M’s birthday gift, but she insisted that I get it now, and I can pay later anyway, Thanks for the trust E.

    I was almost that close in buying my brush set from Suesh, but I’m glad I waited.    

    So here it IS!

     

     These photos were taken on the same day we met. THE Sephora Hello Kitty 5PC. Brush set available only at The hyphen store. I was really really happy when she had this in her store.

       Here’s a break down of each brush

      Inside…

     These are mini brushes with synthetic white bristles with pink tips. The hair is really soft, the eyeshadow brushes are quite dense, no shedding.

      I haven’t used them yet, so please do watch out for reviews on each brush soon.

    1. Face brush – blush brush

                              I love the pink handle and pink tips

• the synthetic is soft
• I kept brushing on the hair to see if the hair would fall out and it didn’t – I’ve yet to see if it will shed when washed
• the size is good for traveling

2. Eye shadow brush

  Now, this is weird, it vertically has no difference with the eye shadow brush, the only difference is the size. My opinion? they should have made it a fluffy brush for blending, but then it’s there already.

   This brush set sells at the Hyphen for P3,500. Please take into consideration that the actual price of this brush set is different from the Sephora site. Understandably, the owner has to mark up the price just a wee bit. Just check out the site for the terms.

              You can remove the white cup for easy cleaning which is good

      She definitely belongs in my little “dresser”. The ket is happy E, no longer lost I say, haha~

   My thoughts about it?

     Even if I did order it online it would cost around P2000+, plus shipping here in the Philippines (which I have no idea how much it would cost).

     It’s a hello kitty collectible, you are really paying for the packaging. Personally, I don’t mind since I’m a hello kitty fan. I’m just happy that Hyphen made this baby available locally. I’m definitely one proud owner of this baby.

To a healthier me project + Hello kitty band aid find

 

   It’s the end of the week and for the healthier me project seems to be doing fine, though I was tempted to buy a monster Rockin’ ruby (I always do) when I went out to buy some stuff earlier. I was thinking of having a cheat day once a week, I don’t want to deprive myself of the good stuff, (good food) but no more chips, that’s what I am totally avoiding now. I bought the fitness cereal with fruit in place of chips and some yogurt and I also bought the listerine vanilla mouthwash

     The picture looks a little blurry because I forgot it was still in the plastic bag with the goodies when I put it in the fridge. This came out a month ago I think, maybe I just got curious when I passed by the toiletries section of how it would taste, will try it out tomorrow morning. This cost around P49.75 at Shopwise Makati.

      I was so tempted to buy this earlier because, well because it’s a:

    Too cute and I saw the designs and it sure is pretty, but then again for the price it’s way too much but maybe next time? I know BF will get mad since we’re saving for something special for Christmas.

      Resisting temptation ain’t easy I tell you, well for someone who is trying to loose weight that is. Yes, I still eat rice but I limit it to one cup only no more seconds. One thing for sure is, I can’t take rice away in my diet, it’s a staple in my body XD

Start of a good week (I hope) + TBS, Human Nature

 

  Happy Monday my readers! I was able to rest this weekend and all pumped up for work for this week. Sadly, it’s the last week for my weekend off, next month our off will rotate and it’ll be on a tuesday and wednesday.

  I am back to writing in my diary again, it’s been 1 year since I’ve stopped, sometimes there are certain things that you just want to write about, like personal stuff that you can’t reveal online, also reason for writing is to organize my spending and savings. But I  may have to buy a new notebook for separate expenses and savings. A few other stuff that I can’t wait to try this Monday are these

   Of course, it has to be a Hello Kitty diary (this was last years), Human Nature Aloe Vera and Peppermint shampoo and one of my beauty loot from SUMMIT – TBS Baked-to-last’s cheek blush and eye shadow

  BF and I was on the phone last night, and we were talking about our plans for our savings, wants, and our upcoming 5th anniversary – sigh. He’s really pushing on saving for our very first tagaytay trip this Christmas and he’ll be spending for transportation and hotel. Though he says, if I want to buy some souveneirs or stuff I have to pay for it, haha. I don’t mind. Now I can’t wait! here’s a glimpse of the hotel where we plan to stay

  BF and his group went here for a couple of days for a retreat, says it’s really nice and the rates are quite affordable. 

  Other things we talked about was, what we both wanted for our Anniversary gift, I was actually surprised that he’s going to buy the camera for me, it will be a 3-in-1 gift (my upcoming birthday, 5th anniversary and Christmas gift in one), Oohh, now I can’t wait, it’s just a matter of time. I know there’s no element of surprise anymore but I still love it. Just like when he bought my my Pink DS Lite. He convinced me to buy the Nokia C3 first, instead of the camera, It was a good point since I’ll be using the phone more over the camera. So it’s official the Nokia C3 is the one since the N8 is unrealistic for budget anyway but I still love it. No wonder why he is pushing me to buy the phone, it’s because he’s planning to buy the camera for me. >.<

  That’s about it for me, btw, I want to thank Ysabel who commented about my question regarding drugstore eye shadow brushes, thanks for recommending Marionnaud, will definitely give it a go later or next week.  ^_^

Weekend escapade + food tripping

 

  Happy Sunday all! Hope you’re all doing great this weekend! Yesterday was with the BF, first went to his group meeting with his friends then after that was us time. We first had dinner at Glorietta, first I was craving for Shakey’s but there was a long waiting line for it and we couldn’t wait since we were in a hurry to go shopping for his clothes. We ended up going to food choices instead, and among all the numerous choices, we decided to eat at Savoury, it was both our childhood memory, where our parents took us to eat somewhere down town manila. The lady offered us their package meal good for two people for only P290.00 which was not bad since it has a quarter leg chicken and 2 side dishes. We also ordered their Shrimp puff P125.00

  First off all, it was cute when we first took our  first bite of the chicken before anything else and said “hmmmmm…. definitely tastes like waay back when we we’re kids.” It does actually the chicken remained it’s taste just like before which was good and it was a pretty big quarter leg chicken. Of course, this isn’t complete without “THE” gravy, soo yummy!

  It doesn’t look appealing for some but this was really good, I liked the puff that covered the shrimp. Dinner was indeed good, specially when you’re with you love one to eat with. Btw, Glorietta and Landmark we’re on sale, bought a few stuff at Landmark like, blotting film, nivea pearl beauty soap, carmex lip balm (no pictures sorry), I loved that they have a section dedicated for lip balms but I was really trying hard not to spend so much within my budget. Didn’t even buy make up since I still have a lot. But it was all good, it’s been a while since I went to Landmark and it sure did change, if only we were not in a hurry we could’ve strolled and checked other new stuff. BF and I while shopping bought some Mrs. Fields 1 dozen bite sized cookies, yum!~ it costs around P140 for 1 dozen if I remember it right.

My Verdict: 4/5 spoons (for the chicken) 5/5 (for the gravy) and 3.9/5 for the shrimp puff

  I really have fun when I’m out with the BF, of course with great friends too that I met in the office. It makes my day, makes me sane from the insanity and toxic people, ppsshh. 

  About the Hello Kitty BF surprised me by buying it for me, the mug, bowl and plate, here’s the picture of the mug.

    We also checked the gadgets and looked for cameras and phones, I’m undecided to get either the NIKON  L21 or the L22, I want a slim camera with a li-on battery but there’s no pink color for it. Well, it’s a long decision I have to make, as for the N8 this is too much for my budget, might as well buy a laptop with it’s price tag right? So yeah, I’m still going for the C3. 3 more weeks before my birthday, thinking of what to do, or if I should celebrate, no special plans but maybe make a wish list, even that I’m not sure either, haha. Oh well! Just one more day before I start for work again, can’t wait!

Hello Kitty addict is me!

 

  Hello my readers? I missed blogging, my memory  card may be corrupted that’s why I can’t transfer files anymore, darn it!

  Anyway, It was my 2nd time around to visit Southland gate mall in Pasong Tamo Makati, near the MRT station, which is sooo convenient. BF recently resigned in our company and embarked a better opportunity for him, the good thing about it is, it’s somewhat close to my house and where I travel to work and with that we can meet up after his work and have dinner together. First of all, before I reveal this upcoming haul, may I just say that I’m lovin’ the Southland Alphagate mall, it’s new actually and the Jollibee branch there is really nice, the ladies room is clean too, so I hope they keep it that way not just because it’s new. BF and I love the ambiance, very cozy. I wasn’t able to take pictures though, maybe next time. There are restaurants like, Chowking, Terriayki Boy, Goldilocks, food court, Tapa King, Jollibee, Le Couer de France and a few more. They also have a Super8 grocery where I heard is cheaper by a few pesos. There’s a lot more to see, usual stuff we see at other malls, but there are still a few vacant spots. What I love about it more is that, the mall in all floors are really cozy, not that cold but not hot. I’ll take more pictures next time. Anyway, we visited Daiso and it was LOVE! Here’s what I found and plan to buy this Friday! It’s a must!

     The first thing I saw at the window was this, and I was hypnotized by it. I’ve been meaning to find something like this for the longest time. BF said I was like a kid in a daze, haha.

   So that was the first one and thought that was about it, no more Hello Kitty stuff , but then as we went inside there were more. This time, another thing I’ve been searching for ever since I entered my new work. Boss has the same coffee mug but a different design.

   There are actually different designs, but these were the only open ones at that time. I think this is the one that I might buy, but the one in the other boxes looked much cuter.

  Seriously, I think I’ll be broke again this paycheck, so I really need to think hard about this one, I know my laptop is not a netbook, but it’s Hello Kitty hun! hehe.

The feel is quite nice and comfy for the netbook, what’s good about it? it’s only P88 bucks, more cheaper than the one they have at CD-R King. 

  So there goes my great find for the week, I’ll be doing some hauling this Friday and I can’t wait. As I’m typing right now, I’m still so happy that I’ve found these at Southland Mall ♥.
