Sunday Weekend food trip and a hair cut~

Great Monday everyone! for some it may be another Manic Monday I’m sure. I hope this will be a start of a great week for all of us.

I definitely missed spending the whole day with my M on weekends. And the 2 day US time was definitely spent well. I had so much fun babe, thank you. So yesterday’s agenda was to attend church, check out some stuff and watch the movie kung fu panda. M and I met at Alpha land Magallanes because I was at Bench fix, I decided to cut my hair already as it was being a pain already. So here’s how it looks like (camera used is M’s itouch)

I super love my hair, and M loved it too. Next week or the week after, I may be having my hair colored, Bench fix Alpha land branch is having a L’oreal permanent hair color promo 50% off. I can definitely save up a lot.

At Mang Inasal, we’ve been eating there 2 days in a row already, and when I got home last night, I saw boxes of Mang inasal in the fridge! Hahaha~

As soon as we got to the Mall M wanted to try this, I had the Mango and he had his usual fix of chocolate.

The small size costs P35 and the biggest size costs P65. I didn’t like mine at all as it tasted like Tang Mango powdered juice, M’s was way better. He compared it to Shakey’s Milkshake, he says it tastes the same only cheaper which is good.

For our dinner last night we ate at Kowloon, food court.

I was still full from the nacho’s we ate so I opted for dimsum and noodles

                                                 Wonton Noodles P65

Luk Yuen and Superbowl’s wanton noodles tastes way better. Kowloon’s was decently okay, it just tasted more like chicken maggi noodles. The wonton’s were good though. If I’m craving for wonton noodles and I’m on a budget, I will go back for this. LOL

Their dimsum was HUGE! worth the P50 and really good, packed with beef and flavor.

    M had this…

Sorry , I was really lazy and too sleepy to take good pictures. He had the meal 2 for P75 I think. Some kind of tofu and sweet and sour pork.

I don’t know how this tasted like, but I’m sure it was good too.

Well, that’s about our weekend US time~

    Till then!

Saturday Weekend food trip and a Rockin’ bad ass movie!

Happy weekend peeps! As for me, I’m enjoying every bit of my weekend this week. First time I don’t have to worry being late for work or having to go to work at night.

For this weekend’s food trip, I was craving for pasta yesterday and BF and I ended up eating at Pizza hut. We had dinner first before watching X-Men: First class. Here’s what we had

  * I was supposed to upload this post yesterday, but had to wait for the pictures which M took.

                                             Tuna Melt P165 or P185

It was M who wanted this appetizer, and I’m glad that I agreed with him too. The tuna melt appetizer was addictingly good, specially when served hot as the cheese gets stringy when you bite on it. I am not sure what kind of cheese they used because, it tasted somewhat tangy (tangy in a good way). Probably because of the tuna? If you would expect chunks of tuna, you might be disappointed. I only saw and tasted an ample amount of tuna pieces. But in my opinion, it worked. This can substitute as pizza as well. Oh and they were generous on the cheese too. If you can notice, there’s some kind of tomatoes in the middle, add that in your tuna melt and it’s the perfect blend. Gives a different layer of flavor. I just actually wished they were generous on the tomatoes too. It’s pesto made I believe.

As usual, my M had his favorite Bolognese pasta

I on the other hand ordered something different, I was eyeing on the Aglio pasta, but then changed my mind

I forgot how much the price is, but it does not exceed P200. The sauce was really good. It looks like how an ordinary Italian tomato sauce would look like, only more flavorful and just a little bit thicker. Even M liked it, he actually hates a thin based sauce but this one he loves he says. I definitely recommend this pasta if you haven’t tried it yet. For our drinks we just had their house water.

Right after dinner we watched the movie X –Men: first class, which was totally rockin’. I’ll be doing a short review about it once I finish my other post.

DF- 3306 Erik Lehnsherr (Michael Fassbender, left foreground) and Charles Xavier (James McAvoy, right foreground) lead Cassidy (Caleb Landry Jones, left), Raven Darkholme (Jennifer Lawrence), Dr. Moira McTaggert (Rose Byrne), Hank McCoy (Nicholas Hoult), and Alex Summers (Lucas Till) in a battle to prevent nuclear war.

I was actually getting irritated with my long hair lately, the fact that it’s already hot, it just doesn’t seem to look good.

Lazy Saturdays and a successful fried rice

Hmmmm, I just love a relaxing, lazy Saturday! Even my cats are lazy too, hehe. Here’s proof.

Image1081   His name is Piccolo, 1 year old 6 months old, half persian and half domestic cat.

Anyways, I was wrecking my brain out earlier figuring what to cook for dinner for the family. I bought cream dory which I think is cheap, it cost me P195 for 3 large pieces at Shopwise and other ingredients for Sundays dinner. There was still some beef strips in the fridge which I cooked for lunch, but since I was left home alone, there was still a lot left since I just had koko crunch for lunch. I was in the mood for making fried rice for dinner and ingredients I used were; carrots, lots of garlic, onion springs, white onions, left over beef, and egg. Here’s how it turned out, I’m impressed myself, my sister loved it a lot!

Image1084

Image1085 Well of course picture quality sucks, forgive me. I will soon invest on a decent digital camera.

And to accompany it with something, since there’s beef in it, I thought this would be a  nice condiment to it. I’ve seen this before already but never dared to try it, but when I saw this at bitsandtreats (Lady E’s blog), I’m confident that this tasted good, and it is. Inside the packet it consists of the following; noodles, soup base, seasoning and nori strips. After the noodles has been cooked, top it with the nori strips and as soon as it hits the hot soup, you can instantly smell the nori, yumm~

Image1086                   Image1082                                                                             P33.50

This one is so worth your money and a must try. The taste is quite mild, and I find the noodles chewy (in a good way) which I like a lot. Instant noodles from JAPAN are FTW! (for the win).

As for my fried rice, it was a success too! I put some ketchup and soysauce too that explains the brownish color. Finally for so long, my fried rice is a success, haha.

Till next time!
